about me
I was born on a farm, in a barn. When I was a few weeks old, I got out of the barn and began exploring. I ventured into the goat pen where I was accidentally trampled by them. I ended up in a coma and had seizures.
Mama Gwen worked on the farm and nursed me to health. I couldn't eat, drink without her direct help or even walk for months. She kept me inside her shirt while she worked but didn't think I would make it. To her surprise, I started to get a little better, a little stronger. Unfortunately, When I was one year old, Mama Gwen got sick and needed someone to care for me while she got better.
That's when Mommy and Daddy started fostering me.They started me on CBD from Source CBD, thanks to recommendations of Pet Headquarters in Prescott Valley. I started to learn more, move better. I even started to jump and play!
About four months later, Mama Gwen asked Mommy and Daddy if they could keep me forever and they said yes!
They took me to the vet and did blood work and x-ray. They saw my spine had three fractures and was misshaped, plus I had healed skull fractures. But otherwise, I was very healthy!
Then I went into heat when I was one and a half. That's when the seizures came full swing every ten days just about. Some new things I learned was lost. Sometimes, things I knew for months was gone.
I had a hard time re-learning stuff. Like how to eat from a plate, getting in the litter box. How to walk.
The seizures were dangerously frequent and violent, so they decided to try spaying me to see if that would help, but hormone flares weren't my trigger. I kept having seizures so we started me on Phenobarbital.
My last seizure was in October 2019. I still have good and bad days and am slowly re-learning how to cat. Walking around is pretty difficult, my balance is still really sketchy at best. And I don't go to the litter box on my own, but I do wait until someone carries me there.
Sometimes I accidentally get pee on myself because I lose my balance and fall into my freshly used litter, so that means I have to have a bath in the sink with special kitty soap. I spash a lot in the bath and growl, but I secretly love the to soak in the lovely warm bathwater.
Mommy and Daddy are making me walk on my own, restarted "kitty therapy" where I have to try to pounce and play. I, of course, get all the snuggles and have my own bed in the sunshine for daytime and heated bed at nighttime.
